Our skilled artisans carefully finish every cabinet.  Stains are meticulously hand wiped into the wood, penetrating deep into the grain.  After the sealer coat is applied, a high solid conversion varnish is sprayed onto the surface of the wood giving it a durable finish that will protect it from the rigors of every day use.

Hand Wiped Stain Process:

  • All wood surfaces to be finished are carefully hand sanded.
  • Pigmented stain is carefully applied and hand-wiped into the wood to achieve a deep lustrous penetrating finish.
  • A high solids catalyzed sanding sealer is sprayed on to all stained surfaces.
  • The sealer coat is then carefully hand sanded providing a smooth, superior surface to which the top coat is applied.  After sanding, all wood surfaces are carefully cleaned with forced air to prepare for the final top coat.
  • The final top coat is a catalyzed high solids conversion varnish that is professionally sprayed and then cured, providing maximum durability.

Note: In order to provide a uniform appearance on certain maple products, a few of our stains are applied using a specialized spray technique.
