Our Plywood
Recently, increased attention has been given to the issue of formaldehyde and its use in wood products. We work closely with each of our vendors to ensure that all plywood, Veneer and MDF core sheet goods meet both phase 1 and 2 (93120.2) requirements as stipulated by the California Air Resource Board.
Our Cabinet Interiors
The finishes used in our pre-finished cabinet interiors are 100% free of formaldehyde gases, hazardous air pollutants (aka HAPs) and volatile organic compounds (aka VOC's) resulting from a roll coated application and a UV curing process.
Our Drawer Boxes
Highly durable water based finishes are used in our drawer box finishing process. No formaldehyde, no hazardous air pollutants and no volatile organic compounds are produced.
Exterior cabinet finishes
In the past several years we have reformulated all of these finishes resulting in much lower VOC emissions. Because of this action, we have reduced these numbers by more than 15%, while increasing total production by 39% over the same period.
KCMA certification
Environmental stewardship is part of who we are and what we believe. It was no surprise that at the time of our certification, we were one of only 6 companies to receive this status after submitting only one application.
